Zorene Cruise
FOUNDER
Zorene taught and danced professionally for over a dozen years, before she seriously began studying the kinesiology and academics of dance. A graduate of Dance Masters of America Training Program held at Kent State and the State University of Buffalo, she continues to study dance and the art of educating children. In addition to her time at Dance Unlimited, she has held the position of Head Judge and Adjudicator on the national talent tour for Dance Xplosion. The great strides Dance Unlimited has made in performance, competition and dance education under her direction have not gone unnoticed. Her choreography, production and networking skills bring great opportunities for our dances. In addition, Zorene is a published writer and public speaker who enjoys sharing these skills with her students. Boundless energy and a positive attitude make working with Zorene productive and joyful. She feels her success has come from surrounding herself with wonderful people

Jenna Barnett
COMPETITION DIRECTOR
Jenna began her training at the rising starts dance academy before falling in love with ballet. she then dance with the Rotatu International ballet company of Atlanta, becoming an apprentice with Pavel Rotaru’s company, ballet du soleil at just 16 years old. upon graduation from high school, Jenna joined Colorado ballet where she danced in classical and contemporary works. A highlight was touring to Tokyo, Japan to perform Paquita and excerpts from The Nutcracker. When she decided to go back to school, Jenna was asked to join the Academy of Colorado Ballet as an instructor and she hasnt stopped teaching since. She has been teaching at Dance Unlmimited since 2008. Jenna has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. While she loves teaching highschool mathematics in Colorado Springs, dance will always be her first love and she enjoys sharing this passing at DU. in 2018, Jenna became the Competition Team Director and continues to choreograph and teach technique classes. Her choreography has received numerous awards as she enjoys pushing herself and her students more each year. When not at the studio, Jenna loves the occasional quiet evening at home with her husband John and their 2 daughters, Layla and Brinley

Logan Hathaway
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Logan Hathaway is a professional choreographer, teacher, and dancer based across the state of Colorado and nationally. He has received training in all styles and continues to explore contemporary and jazz repertoire. During his high school education, Logan fell in love with the discipline of choreography and teaching. He began teaching classes in a variety of styles and choregraphing dances even during his high school career. Logan had the opportunity to perform in the 2022 Beaux Art Ball for National Jewish Health alongside performers from around the country under Imprint Group. He recently joined the Boulder Jazz Dance Collective directed by Helen Estrella and Rachel Harding where he performs in the company and choreographs for their summer workshop. His choreography has won multiple high scoring awards and recognition across the state of Colorado and beyond. Logan has been lucky enough to teach for many different studios within the state for a variety of workshop and guess classes. Using his knowledge of many dance styles, he enjoys the innovative process of creating new and exciting movements that pushes the boundaries and inspires his students to be creative themselves.

Kaley Montel
Kaley started her dance experience with Dance Unlimited at the age of three. She began studying ballet, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, jazz, acro-tumbling and everything else in the kitchen sink. She continued following this path of dance throughout high school and into college where she is studying dance and business at Chapman University in California. Kaley has also studied with The Young Americans performance group where she had the privilege of working with school outreach programs aimed to help troubled children. She has opened for the New York City Rockettes and has performed in a Todrick Hall music video. Kaley is currently a judicial clerk on her way to becoming a paralegal. We are excited that Kaley makes time to teach all her favorite kids at DU. Dance is always the best part of her day.

Debi Spencer
Debi has been a professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer for more than 20 years. In her professional career, she toured with the Broadway musical 42nd Street throughout Europe, appeared in many musical theatre productions including West Side Story, Annie, Anything Goes, Sugar Babies, and Camelot to name a few. She has also danced at Wald DIsney World in Beauty and the Beat, Hollywood Hollywood, and the Dick Tracy Show and many other productions in Japan and Europe. Debi has appeared in the movie “tap” as well as many industrial shoes. She has a BFA from Oklahoma City University and a MEd from University of Central Oklahoma. Most recently, sha has taught and choreographed at Wake Forest University. Her choreography has won many awards, including Apogee awards, entertainment awards and choreography awards. Aside from dancing, Debi has appeared in numerous national and regional television commercials. She is thrilled to be joining Dance Unlimited where she can combine her love of teaching dance with her love of choreography.

Brenda Zeman
Brenda received her secondary teaching certification in history with a minor in art from the University of Southern Colorado. She began studying dance in her early twenties at the Art Center in Pueblo. Brenda continued her training with the Pueblo Civic Ballet and Ballet Theater of Pueblo. She performed with all three companies in various ballet s and children’s theater. After her children were born, she decided to teach dance and discovered she loved sharing her passion of dance with children. She has been teaching for over 38 years at numerous dance studios. It has been a great joy this past year as she has been working with dancers at Dance Unlimited. She is looking forward to many more years of teaching at Dance Unlimited

Brandon Miller
From the vibrant studios of Dance Connection 2 in Arizona to the iconic stages of New York City, Brandon has been perfecting the art of dance since he was 5 years old. Equipped with a rich background in tap, jazz, acro, hip-hop, and contemporary dance, his early years were shaped by the transformative experiences, to include a standout performance in Tap Kids! showcase in New York City when he was just 12. His evolution into a sough after choreographer began in 2012, marked by a series of accolades for his innovative work across multiple dance genres. His unique choreographic style often described as “visual music” blends rhythmic precision with expressive movement that captivates audiences nationwide. This distinctive approach has been honed under the mentorship of dance luminaries like Cory Finn, Donovan Helma, Anthony Morigerato, Jason Janas, Mike Minery, Leo Morimune, and Chaz Buzan. A recognized talent in the competitive dance scene, Brandon triumphed as the champion of Operation Tap’s Technique Tuesday Challenge VI and has been a consistent finalist, showcasing his technical excellence and creative choreography. As an integral member of Jason Janas’ professional tap company, Co.MMIT, he has been able to perform with some of th ebest tap dancers in the country. Brandon has also contribued his skills as an assistant at Radix, NUCO, and JUMP Dance Conventions inspiring the next generation of dancers. Dedicative to nurturing the potential of each student, Brandon brings passion, expertise, and a deep love for dance to every class, ready to guide dancers who are eager to grow and excel in the ever-evolving world of dance.

Kaylee Ortega
Kaylee is currently a student, performer, and choreographer at DU. She is originally from Huston where she has trained in dance since the age of 5. She was a member of Kingwood Jazz and Company for 9 years where she trained in a variety of dance forms. Kaylee started her college career at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she was a member of their dance team and pom squad, Ragin Jazz. She graduated from Texas State University where she earned her BFA in Dance with an emphasis in Dance Education and a Minor in Business Administration. Currently she is teaching at multiple studios in Colorado and is excited to continue sharing her passion with others.

Sophia Rose
Sophia grew up in Colorado Springs where she began training and competing in multiple styles at the age of 8. She recently graduated with distinction from the University of Colorado Boulder, earning a BSA in Sociology. During her time at CU Boulder, she was a four-year member of the nationally ranked CU Dance Team, which gave her the opportunity to continue growing as a performer and competitor. In addition to her collegiate career, she has been passionate about teaching dance since high school and started as an instructor during her senior year. Over the years, she has expanded her teaching experience through roles as camp instructor for the Universal Dance Associate (UDA) and as a technique coach for SPARK Dance Team Training, both of which allowed her the opportunity to teach teams across Colorado. Sophia is now teaching at DU where her passion for connecting with and teaching the next generation of dancers continues to grow.

Jadeyn King
Jadeyn was born and raised in Colorado Springs. She graduated in the class of 2024 from Palmer Ridge High School and is now attending college where she plans to study nursing. She did gymnastics for 14 years, beginning at the age of 3. Since then, Jadeyn has found a growing passion for gymnastics and acro. She is the oldest of 4 girls that also share a love for the fun and challenging aspect of gymnastics. Throughout her many years as a competitive gymnast, she has won several state and regional titles. She has also coached gymnastics when she was still 16 in her junior year of high school. Jadeyn has absolutely loved teaching and working with the dancers at DU to be their best! She is very excited to join the team and share her knowledge and love for acro with the dancers at Dance Unlimited.

Kylie Cruise
Kylie has been dancing at Dance Unlimited since she was 2 years old. She has received numerous awards and accolades as a competitive dancer. She has a finely tuned sense for musicality, mastering the clarinet, saxophone and of all things, tap shoes! Kylie has completed her first year at UCCS and looks forward to her next semester as she pursues a degree in early childhood education. Though her high school competition time has come to a close, she continues to make a difference in the dance world. In May she was honored to be chosen to dance on the international company of Dance Excellence. She was recognized for her tap skills, musicality and lyrical presentation. Kylie has fallen in love with teaching dance and looks forward to sharing her repertoire of tips and tricks for amazing non-stop turns! Kylie will continue to share her family’s love of dance and all it can bring to the next generation.
